There are no significant tributaries in Bledske jezeroin northwestern Slovenia, but they are fed by underground springs. Located in the northeast, these hot springs make the water in the lake pleasant and warm.Lake Bled has a temperature of about 26 degrees Celsius, making it one of the warmest alpine lakes to date.1 We can swim in its hydrothermal zone during the summer until 9 May.
Photogenic Lake
Around the lake there is a beautiful forest on the slopes of the Pokrzhka and Jelovica Mountains, behind which is a peep of the Julian Alps. Even worse, almost in the middle of the lake there is an island named Blejski Otok. The pilgrimage church of the Virgin Mary is located on the island along with the Old Slavic cemetery. Tourists to the island can be transported by boat. This trip to the island is provided by the excursion program as a 30-and-a-half hour trip, in which 1 minute is spent on this place of pilgrimage on the island.
Castle on Lake Bled
Another place definitely worth paying attention to is the castle, towering over the lake with a rocky headland above the surface of the lake.1 Part of Bled CastleToday serves as a stylish restaurant. In the rest of the castle there is a municipal museum.
Sports Center
There is also Lake BledSports centerWater and winter sports are practiced. There is a regular rowing regatta and several World rowing championships are also held on the lake. On the west bank of the lake there is a port for sports boats and camping.
